It's worked fine for me for quite some time. (I recently changed my
default shell back to /bin/athena/tcsh for unrelated reasons.) Is
there a problem with the ucb libraries on your machine?
sourcery% ls -l /usr/lib/*ucb*
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 20 May 13 16:24 /usr/lib/libucb.so -> /usr/lib/libucb.so.1
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 23 May 13 16:24 /usr/lib/libucb.so.1 -> /usr/ucblib/libucb.so.1
