I just updated most* of the .sync files that mmkserv will use with
8.1. The change I made was to always copy things, even directories
with the -p flag. I'm hoping this will solve a problem I've noticed
in the past where directories in /var/server end up with bogus modes.
I've released the volume, so these changes are available immediately.
release-team: There is an extremely small chance that this will cause
some unexpected lossage when people take early test (I rate this as
very unlikely, but if a problem does occur I figured peopel would
appreciate knowing the change occured.) I have been testing similar
changes on my workstation for a few weeks now without a problem.
mwhitson: I believe I propogated all of the changes you mad in
*print*.sync files to /mit/mkserv/services/8.1, but no changes to any
other files.
