It used to be the case (vax rt and dec at least) that we installed a
link passwd.real in /usr/athena/bin, pointing to the native passwd, so
people can do things like change the root passwd. At some point we
stopped doing this. Was that a conscious decision, or something that
was just lost? Is there a good reason not to start doing this again?
