I tried starting up Xess and it gave me a lot of errors like this:
Warning: translation table syntax error: Unknown keysym name: osfLeft
Warning: ... found while parsing '~s ~c <Key>osfLeft:IncrementUpOrLeft(1)'
Warning: translation table syntax error: Unknown keysym name: osfRight
Warning: ... found while parsing '~s ~c <Key>osfRight:IncrementDownOrRight(1)'
The backspace key, cursor keys, escape key did not work.
There is no XKeysymDB file in
/afs/dev.mit.edu/system/sun4m_54/srvd.80/usr/openwin/lib/X11
I am not sure if there should be or not.
The file is on my local machine in /usr/opeinwin/lib/X11
-rw-rw-r-- 1 root bin 3906 Jun 24 1994 XKeysymDB
After setenv XKEYSYMDB /usr/openwin/lib/X11/XKeysymDB, Xess started
with no problems and the keys worked fine. xcal also worked fine
after doing this.
