What's wrong:
The "comsat" entry was removed from /etc/inetd.conf. I never heard
this discussed, and it is particularly inconvenient for me because I
use it.
I can understand its removal, especially since the vast majority of
workstations don't use it, and those people who need it can put it
back.
What I cannot understand is why the RCS logs on paris do not reflect
its removal. It was removed in revision 1.7 of the files in
/paris/source/config/files, but the revision description for 1.8 (by
don) mentions nothing about it.
Slightly irritating.
What should have happened:
Possibly, just possibly, it should not have been removed, although
that's questionable.
It should have been mentioned in the RCS logs.
