These are just version skew problems. mwm is unable to find its
resources because the relevant code moved from the global xsession to
the global cshrc, and cshrc is local on bart-savagewood while xsession
is a symlink.
The problem will go away tonight when 8.0B is released, or someone can
do a mkserv update.
