Due to a mistake I made last week, Athena Suns in the "beta" cluster are
getting a sneak preview of the Athena Sun release. If your workstation is
set to AUTOUPDATE=false, you can probably skip the rest of this mail.
However, if your Sun workstation has updated to Athena 7.7L (you can check
by 'tail -1 /etc/athena/version'), please read this:
We've gotten some reports that outgoing mail does mot work. Miki found the
problem, so here is a way to fix it on the local workstation:
su (become root)
cd /usr/lib
chmod 4755 sendmail
That's it. Please send reports of problems to 'testers@mit.edu', and again
