Yes, you are.

Perhaps you _were_ in exactly the right number of groups (whatever you
mean by that), but we privileged elite have to stay a step ahead, so
we have changed the "right number of groups" to something else so you
can't be in our club anymore.
We lowered the number of groups the DECstation will remember you're in
because when it remembers too many, this causes failures when trying
to attach NFS filesystems on certain architectures. That is, if you
were to attempt to attach an RS/6000 NFS filesystem from your
DECstation under 7.6, it would fail to work correctly in some
important way I'm not personally familiar with.
The maximum number of groups you will now be in on a DECstation is 13.
To see which those are, you can probably do
grep dryfoo /etc/group
This truncated group list is the list used when determining your
group membership for local disk and NFS accesses. It does not affect
your AFS group membership.
