I've sent this in at least twice before. There are 3,000,000
things in /etc/athena that are symbolic links to
/srvd/etc/athena/rvd. They should all be symbolic links to rvd.
This greatly reduces the number of symbolic links that have to
be followed and is much cleaner as it does not depend on /srvd
being around.
Please respond one way or the other about whether you are going
to fix this.
I have not seen a response to this old message, and no doubt the
response was probably, "we'll get to it when we have time", if you got
one (do not take this in a negative way; there is no way that anything
else could have been guaranteed). Anyway, this has been fixed in the
source tree and is fixed on the fully built packs (read-write version).
I do not know how much of this build will go into 6.4, but at least it
will make it in eventually (whenever we get to use fully-installed
packs, that is). I will try to get as many of my fixes and slight
changes into the next release as possible (I am hoping for a 75+%
re-install of the packs by making as many fixes as possible).
