I've had similar problems with other RCS files, but I didn't realize they
were Solaris specific:
perilous 4:43pm 315> cd /afs/dev.mit.edu/project/release/source/src/athena/lib/zephyr.p4/zhm
perilous 4:43pm 316> rcsdiff -r1.12 -r1.13 Imakefile
RCS file: RCS/Imakefile,v

This works fine under Solaris 7.6, and also DECstation 7.7.
