I just ran into a rather interesting situation. I'm not sure if
this is an AFS bug or a release bug, but I'm passing it along.
There are filenames that I can create on the local filesystem
on a sparc classic that I cannot create in AFS. I ran into this
while using MAE (the Mac emulator). It creates some filenames
that have rather unusual characters. I have no problem copying
these files around on the local disk, but I cannot copy them
with the same name to AFS. For instance, the character code \325
appears in one of the filenames. In some situations this displays
as a "?", and sometimes as a "o" with a "~" above it.
[I don't much like that MAE creates such filenames, and will pass
this along to the MAE developers.]
