Hi everyone,
I'm not sure whose responsibility it is to fix this, but it appears that
some of the LaTeX files changed location in 7.7, something which breaks
the links in /mit/sipb/lib/tex/macros. For example, under 7.6,
article.sty is
/usr/athena/lib/tex/macros/article.sty
but under 7.7 it is
/usr/athena/lib/tex/macros/latex/article.sty
I haven't figured out a list of exactly what files are affected, but
there is a big difference in the contents of /usr/athena/lib/tex/macros
between the two releases. I also don't know why they moved. (Anyone
have the answer to that question?)
Individuals can certainly modify their own environments to get the
correct location for files. However, the underlying problem is that the
sipb links won't work for both 7.6 and 7.7 with the current arrangement
of files.
