RS/6000 NFS servers don't like it when you're in too many groups
(something like 16). Suns and RS/6000 clients dutifully ignore the
extra ones.
Richard Basch says he fabricated a patch to login to fix it so that
DECStations wouldn't try and put you in so many groups that RS/6000 NFS
servers would hate you.
This fix does not seem to have made it into 7.7 on my DECStation.
