One thing I've just noticed. When I use either my own account (reidmp)
our test account (factest) on the current (76) release, either with or
without customizations, the backspace key works (for instance, in
an Xterm using MWM). On 77b, for both accounts the backspace only
works when I login without customizations. This is a bit odd because,
at least for my account, I don't fiddle with key bindings at all,
so there should be no difference.

One other thing I noticed, which isn't really a problem, but I just
wanted to pass along as suspicious behaviour. I happened to have a
cdrom mounted since Friday afternoon. It worked on Friday. When I
came in today (Wednesday), I found that the cdrom was still mounted,
but I could only see the top level contents. Contents of
subdirectories were empty. I was unable to eject the cdrom by using
the front-panel buttons until I used the 'eject' command, after which
the front-panel button worked fine again... but after feeding the
cdrom back in, I still only saw the top-level contents of the disk. I
couldn't see the lower-level materials until I did a halt and boot -r.
If an update happened between Friday afternoon and this morning, then
perhaps some aspect of the update process is mucking with the volume
manager?
