What were you trying to do?
start emacs with the title bar set to "foo" well, not exactly,
but it's a good example. The specific invocation was:
tla:~: emacs -title foo
What's wrong:
Immediately typing ^X^B (to get a buffer listing) in the
emacs gives the following:
MR Buffer Size Mode File
-- ------ ---- ---- ----
. foo 0 Fundamental /afs/athena.mit.edu/user/j/w/jweiss/foo
-title 0 Fundamental /afs/athena.mit.edu/user/j/w/jweiss/-title
*scratch* 0 Text
* *Buffer List* 275 Buffer Menu
Note that the title bar did say that the title was "foo"
What should have happened:
It shouldn't be opening random buffers, just because there is
text on the command line. The buffer -title is kinda cute tho. :-)
Please describe any relevant documentation references:
not sure
Got a random comment?
Yeah, at least it doesn't open a file & when I start it in the
background. :-)
