Well, I swapped printers (twice!), swapped cables, even swapped serial
ports on my workstation (reversed the modem and printer cables and
device-assignments in /etc/ttys and /etc/printcap and rebooted), and
nothing changed -- still the same jammup inside the printer.
The interesting news is that now the Maxine on the sales floor,
"mccathena", which serves the LaserWriter "mccpr" -- immediately after
taking the update and rebooting -- is displaying the very same problem.
Prior to 7.6, it worked flawlessly (and was my substitute printer, given
that trillium is still hung up).
Help!! Is anybody else reporting any similar difficulties?
