I believe that the "graphics library" was local to corot since it
is one of the few machines that can make use of it. Anyway I
reinstalled it as per the message below and Wavefront now appears
to be running okay. Supporting and install local libs on an as
needed basis really doesn't pose a problem once I know where to
find them.
However some of the gl updates and patches seem to be
missing, so I would encourage any endeavors to keep the aix
distribution in the rios locker up to date.

Try this command:
# installp -ac -d /mit/rios/lpp/3.2 X11_3d X11_3d.gl.dev.obj
X11_3d.gl.dev.src X11_3d.gl.rte.obj X11_3d.obj
(Before running this command make sure group "bin" is in /etc/group.)
But when I tried this it had problems...it appears the .toc file in
/mit/rios is out of date and lists files that aren't in the directory.
I hit ^C every time it complained about a file and asked me to mount
the file and hit return. At the end /usr/lib/libgl.a existed, which
is what you want. It may not be up to the current fix level.
