xmh dies!

It worked fine all day yesterday, and I didn't change anything except
the length of the sleep in my show-weather script. Today, however,
when I log in, let everything start up, and then try to start xmh, I
get the Dash confirmation window, then I see the incipient xmh window,
but as soon as I click to locate it the window disappears and I get
this in the console:
09:05 pid 24406 (xmh) was killed on an unaligned access, at pc 0x47e18c
I've tried this several times, after fresh logins, and each time it
dies with the same message (different pid's, of course).
