Hi -
I noticed that if my cwd was in AFS (specifically, I tried my homedir
and /mit/potluck/sun4bin [because it's writable]), doing df ~ (or any
directory in AFS) would produce a floating exception and dump core
(which I guess is a minor bug in itself, since on other platforms it
just produces meaningless output). On the other hand, if my cwd was
in NFS (bitbucket) or UFS (/usr/tmp), the coredump would be limited to
512 bytes. I also tried it with my cwd in AFS, but writing to a
symlink into /usr/tmp; this worked as if I were in /usr/tmp.
However, when I made xload dump core by sending it a nasty signal, it
would ignore the limit on coredumpsize in UFSland and NFSland, too.

locker in that "Notes" thing.
