Actually, after a talk with Richard (and some experimentation) I feel
I should retract that last statement; the current behavior is not what
I remembered (probably from an older version) and is not consistent
--- it's a bug. Although I might argue that I like the old behavior
better, I can see that I might be in a minority, so I'll do it myself.
:-) In any case, I was incorrect in my previous message, andI
apologize for asserting thigns without testing them first.
