While searching through the man page for mh-gen for the mh option
that will disable the sucking of the first line of .signature into the
From: line, I came upon another mh option, "MHRC", which (according to
mh-gen) enables the interpretation of ~ properly.
This would be a big win. I have had problems in the past putting
paths into .mh_profile to define an alternate editor because it would
not accept ~ and I did not want to hard-code the path. Is there any
reason why MHRC is not enabled (Am I missing something, or
misunderstanding the purpose of the option?)?
Also, I couldn't find the option to disable use of .signature, but I
might have missed it, and somebody on the net claimed that it exists.
If it does, could it be enabled as well? We don't use it on Athena,
and it conflicts with rrn (and quite a few other programs, including
rmail).
