The full, official name is "RISC System/6000(tm) POWERstations"; "RS/6000"
is a generally recognized shorter version of that, with "RISC/6000" being
another variant. "RS/6000" the generally used abbreviation for it around
here, as well as on the network; I havn't seen much use of "RISC/6000"
abbreviation at all. The system release notes are now consistent in their
use of the "RS/6000" abbreviation.
