Does anyone else have the impression that things are a lot slower than they
used to be? It seems that way to me, but performance can be a very
subjective concept. I have noticed my X server freeze for 10 seconds
at a time, which didn't happen earlier this summer.

The only time I noticed a slowdown was when I either tried a) running
mwm, or b) tried running any toolkit application. Xdm has of course
slowed my login process, but I don't think that's what you're talking
about....
