I start up Emacs on login with the following line:
emacs -w =80x58-5+5 &
As it's starting, I get a vertical dotted line about 9 spaces from the
left side of the emacs window:
|
|
|
|
etc. So the bar at the bottom says "-----Emac|"
Then Emacs loads time ("Loading time..." in minibuffer as normal) and
the scratch buffer comes up ok and the dotted line goes away. This
only happens on login, if I type the same line at the prompt, it's
normal, or if I call Emacs with my uwm menu, it's fine.
Any ideas? It's not problematic, just weird.
(I hate describing such a bug; let me know if I'm not clear.)
Thanks,
Sharon
