Not really a bug with xlogin in this release in particular, but...

When I came in this morning, and tried to login, I typed my username and
an incorrect password by mistake. Instead of a dialog box popping up
immediately, though, informing me I had typed the wrong password, the
console popped up and said "Waiting for workstation to finish
activating". I had to wait a minute or so for the activation to finish,
after which the dialog box telling me I typed an incorrect password
appeared.

I think there is a problem here, although I admit it's probably not a
large one. Fortunately, the workstation will almost always be activated
so this problem won't occur. However, I do think that it should've
checked the validity of my password before going into the wait cycle. I
don't know where my password was sitting during that time, whether it
was bzero'ed already or not... besides, if it had checked the password
first, and popped up the bad passwd dialog, by the time I clicked on it
and re-entered my username and passwd, perhaps the workstation would've
been activate already... :-)
