For the DECstation, one item reads:
A new FORTRAN compiler from Digital is installed on the system. Release
notes may be found in {\it /usr/lib/cmplrs/fort/relnotes}
This Fortran compiler is a major change from the previous release,
and will usually require complete recompilation of fortran code, i.e.
you can't use libraries compiled with the old compiler with the new compiler.
