Ralph's just pointed out to me the following problems with xdsc:

1. There should be an application resource for the path to edsc.
I don't want to attach the 7.3 rvd in the normal place, so I
now get the message
Fatal error: Unable to exec '/usr/athena/etc/edsc'
trying to run xdsc from the packs.
2. The man page on the 7.3 packs has at least one reference to
StaffTools as a path.

I can address both of these with a change to the man page. If the environment
variable EDSC is set, xdsc will run that instead of '/usr/athena/etc/edsc'.
Documenting this feature provides a workaround for the first bug. Making it
an app-resource can wait for the next release.
I've removed the paragraph which mentioned StaffTools from the man page.
My next mail will be a context diff of the old and new man pages. Could
someone do the change and get back to me? Thanks,
