I tried logging in with the "ignore all customizations" options and
here is what I got:

Dash didn't come up. I believe that this might be connected to:
> hes x11r4
FILSYS: AFS /afs/athena.mit.edy/system/x11r4 n /mit/x11
I didn't have a chance to check it on a 7.3 vax/rt.
