   Note:  this is _not_ the standard attach.  I have _not_ had a chance to
   incorporate multi-user attach features (as implemented by jfc) into
   attach.  Doing so opens an entire can of worms which I didn't relish
   getting into just now.  You ran into a smallish one just now, but which
   is relatively easily fixed.  There are some other design problems which
   are not so easily fixed, though.

   In any case, since I have no idea what genus of attach is running on
   achates, and since it's not a supported version of attach, I really
   can't help you.

Sorry, I didn't realize that John was running a special version of
attach on his workstation.

Well, when you *do* add the multi-user functionality to attach, watch
out for this bug :-)
