The dm Welcome window is wide enough for at least 9 characters, but
only accepts 8 (max username length).
When replying to the dm Password: prompt, I find that it only accepts
passwords of up to 20 characters in length. On the other hand,
/usr/athena/passwd allows longer passwords. The result is that a user
can set a new password then, be unable to login via dm.
