Could /etc/ntp.drift be put on the exception list?

Currently, every single time I run update_ws, ntp.drift is considered a
nonstandard file and is deleted. I know that xntp isn't supported, but
it would be nice if I didn't have to keep on restoring /etc/ntp.drift
each time I take an update.
Thanks!
