Where is the console binary that steve-dallas is running?

Note that I kill -STOPed the console program before getting the
coredump and it is stil stopped.
Do you have any more information on what was going on when it started
spinning? Was it still functional?
It was not responding to expose or buttonpress events (I couldn't
click on "Hide"). When I logged in to steve-dallas today, I had to
activate the machine as root (because of the problem with
speaker.mit.edu last night -- see my previous message to testers).
