What were you trying to do?
Scroll the console down to the bottom.
What's wrong:
If you make it jump to the bottom of the console output, and the
line which was previously displayed at the bottom of the console area
had any characters with descenders, the lowest bit of those descenders
is not erased when the console redisplays.
Try getting a line like the MOTD version banner with "Aug" in it at the
bottom of your console window, and then click with the mouse at the
bottom of the scroll region; you'll see what I mean.
What should have happened:
The descenders should have been erased.
