Did y'all design it so that the console does not appear by default?
Until I typed show_console in the xterm window I had no console. This
is bad. Also, every time I tried a command that was under the "Other
things" menu (i.e. I tried "Display workstation config" and
"Electronic Ombudsman") both ended with one of the error messages
indicating "Broken pipe: XXX retries" that you get when a child
process gets killed. I very much like that fact that one no longer
has to wait for the workstation to reattach itself after it hasn't
been in use for a long time.
