The problem that I find with the quick login option is that it sources
my .startup.tty. The problem with that is that my .startup.tty looks
to see if it's being sourced in an xterm... if it is, it goes about
finishing up my X layout... This was done so that I could remotely
login to my E40 machine from a machine in a public cluster (hey, I'm
not going to run a full-blown session on a vs2000!! I want to get my
work done... not wait forever for my windows to come up only to be
told that I don't have enough memory to do anything.) By selecting
quick login, it doesn't just put up an xterm and source my .cshrc,
.path, and .environment files (like I expected it to do... In my
opinion, I think that a reduced login should stop there...) it sources
my .tty. This messes everything up!!

Either there should be some dotfile scheme compatable with remotely
logging into another machine (and using the display on the machine
that the request is made from), or the "quick" login should not source
.startup.tty.
