Good Afternoon,=20

The Secure Applications Release Team is pleased to announce the release =
of SecureFX 3.1 and SecureCRT 5.1 for Windows.

Who Should Download and Why

The latest versions of the applications benefit not only new users =
interested in upgrading to SecureFX 3.1 or SecureCRT 5.1, but also those =
users wishing to utilize the new features listed below.

---------------------------------------

New SecureFX features:

- Files can be dragged and dropped or pasted to and from applications =
such as Windows Explorer, WinZip, Outlook, and Outlook Express.

- SecureFX 3.1 reduces desktop clutter by allowing SecureFX sessions to =
be minimized to the Activator.

- Integrated configuration settings between SecureFX and the VanDyke =
Software secure terminal emulator SecureCRT 5.1 making it simpler to =
create and maintain sessions.

- Sound notification options for when a connection is made, when a =
transfer completes, or when there is an error.

- Increased firewall flexibility by adding generic proxy, which supports =
HTTPS and SSL proxies.=20

- Support for IPv6.

---------------------------------------

New SecureCRT features:

- Tabbed sessions reduce desktop clutter and make it easy to switch =
between sessions and organize groups of connected sessions.=20

- The new SFTP tab allows you to open an SFTP tab to the same SSH2 =
session without having to re-authenticate.=20

- Integrated configuration settings between SecureCRT and the VanDyke =
Software secure file transfer client SecureFX make it simpler to create =
and maintain sessions. =B7 Set your options once and they are used by =
both programs.

- Named firewalls allow session-specific firewall settings.=20

- 256-color Xterm support.=20

- Support for IPv6.=20

---------------------------------------

Known Issues for Secure FX and Secure CRT

The Athena Shortcut created by the installers are only created for the =
account used to install the Secure application. Additional accounts and =
Windows Domain users will need to run the "Create Shortcut to Athena" =
tool in Start > Programs > MIT SecureFX/CRT > Tools > Create Shortcut to =
Athena to add this setting to their configuration files.

---------------------------------------

How to obtain SecureFX 5.1 & SecureCRT 3.1

Both installers are available for download at the MIT Software Page:
http://web.mit.edu/software/win.html
