Good afternoon.
Information Services and Technology is pleased to announce a release
effort for iPassConnect 2.37 for Mac OS X and iPassConnect 3.40 for
Windows XP. iPassConnect allows faculty and staff members to access
iPass, a service that allows users to use commercial dialup and
wireless networks without having to pay for them individually.
In addition to releasing new versions of the iPassConnect client
software, the release effort will test the ability of MIT users to
access MITnet services using commercial wireless networks while
traveling. IS&T currently supports the use of dialup connections
using iPass.
More information can be found in the iPass release notebook, located
at http://web.mit.edu/swrt/releases/ipass/.
If you have questions, suggestions, or would like to participate in
the release of iPass, please contact the team at ipass-release@mit.edu.
