IS Announces Support for Mac OS 9.1
Support and New Features
------------------------
Beginning today, Information Systems supports Mac OS 9.1, having tested the
operating system with the suite of enterprise business systems, supported
desktop applications, and network software in use at MIT. Mac OS 9.1 Update
is designed to support current Mac OS 9 customers and ease the transition
for future Mac OS X users. The Mac OS 9.1 update delivers additional
support for Multiple Users and iTools services, and new channels for

Obtaining
---------
MIT faculty or staff members who have received a Mac OS 9 CD through IS
Software Distribution will be receiving a copy of the new Mac OS 9.1 CD via
campus mail. If you recently purchased a computer that came with Mac OS
9.0x, and wish to obtain 9.1 on CD, see
