I think we may want to have the default .generation file have a comment at
the top explaining what its purpose is, to avoid people deleting it
because they don't realize it's important (the name is not sufficiently
tied to Athena to prevent people frmo thinking it's from something else).
I'd recommend using # comments and replacing
cat $HOME/.generation
with
grep -v ^# $Home/.generation
