I plan to take the following action unless someone opposes it via e-mail:
- tomorrow (Thu) AM: Push auto-update 1.30 -> production. The flurry of changes here are largely cosmetic. Machines upgraded just fine, they just looked dead until they finally rebooted. Going forward, auto-upgrade needs complete re-architecting to use the bootloader to bootstrap the new version like we did in the old days. kexec is increasingly non-functional.
- tomorrow AM: Ask ops for early-linux clusterinfo for natty, with the expectation that early machines update between 0100 and 0300 Friday.
-Monday: Remove the 't' flag from public-linux clusterinfo, and send mail to release-announce, targetting the release for 0100-0300 Tuesday 8/9, with Weds and Thurs for stragglers to catch up. (I'm trying very hard not to be here or pay attention to e-mail at all on Friday the 12th).
- Monday 8/15: Investigate remaining un-upgraded machines manually with hotline's assistance.
