While I would love to be able to just turn off quickprint and point
people at the Pharos queue, there are two notable things blocking that:
- ~16% of print jobs on quickprint are to private printers unaffected by
this change
- ~50% of print jobs come in from the web interface, not directly spooled
I don't know what you mean by "degraded performance"; we spool jobs with
the correct username, so they should be able to print their jobs just fine
through Pharos queues.
I think the easiest thing to do is just to change the map to link to
mitprint for each of the cluster printers. As you probably know, we
already don't show dorm printers on the map.
