I saw a machine with this error, m2-032-14. It looks like the machine 
upgraded its kernel but finish upgrading its OpenAFS modules... I'm 
surprised the error message wasn't more obvious, but it does make sense.

I was able to fix it by rebooting into recovery mode, choosing the "root - 
Drop to root shell prompt" option at the bottom and running the command 
"aptitude install", which prompted me to install/upgrade several packages 
including new AFS modules. I'm not sure why the "dpkg - Repair broken 
packages" command was insufficient, but it doesn't run that exact command.
