Greetings,
As a reminder, tomorrow the service name "athena.dialup.mit.edu" will
transition from the Sun Athena 9 machines to their Linux Debathena
counterparts. This change will happen between 8 and 9 AM tomorrow
morning. No downtime should result from this transition since we can
change the resolver without affecting either the servers or existing login
sessions. This change will also affect the "ftp.dialup.mit.edu" name,
which will also transition from the Suns to the Linux machines.
Again, the Sun Athena 9 servers will be available under the name
"sun.dialup.mit.edu" until July 1st to allow people who have specific
needs on the Suns to transition to Linux. Please report any problems with
the new dialup environment to bug-dialup@mit.edu.
