Right after release-team, i proposed to Jonathon that -c filsrv be in the
default zephyr subs:
- Primarily, because of the /mit automounter, it's very often the case
that 'attach' wasn't run to make sure you're subbed to the appropriate
instances of zephyr class filsrv.
- It also would simplify the liblocker rewrite to not require it to have
logic to figure out where on -c filsrv to subscribe to.
- Users who use non-zwgc clients (e.g. barnowl) don't get subbed to
classes via zctl, anyway. I also kind of want to make the default Zephyr
client a short Python script using the OS-native libnotify (see Trac
#221), and I'd like to avoid supporting the complexity of zctl.
- There's extremely little traffic to -c filsrv apart from the weekly AFS
restart notifications, and most users online at 6 AM on Sunday mornings
care about the restart regardless because web.mit.edu etc. are affected.
Is this something people think is generally reasonable? Jonathon suggested
that just -i athena.mit.edu be in the default subs, which would also be
fine.
