I've asked for, and netops has made, a change to their firewall config
such that connections to port 143 of imap.exchange.mit.edu now get
refused instead of just having the packets dropped, so things like "from"
and "mailquota" get an immediate failure instead of a long delay.
I'm assuming we still want a patch release with the client wrappers, but
in the short-term the user experience isn't quite as bad. (I'd prefer a
more general patch release to cover other accumulated bugs, but I'm not
sure there's management buy-in for same.)
