Hi. Normally, knfs is considered a requirement for early release for
Athena. We expected to have it ready by today, but we ran into some
last minute problems porting the server to Solaris 8, and will be a
few days to a week late on that front. Unfortunately, we can't afford
to delay the early release without potentially impacting the quality
of the cluster environment.
The early machines which are knfs servers (depot and mies, according
to athinfo queries) simply won't update to 9.0 until knfs is
available, so there shouldn't be any disruption for those machines.
I'll send mail when knfs is ready for early testing.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
