I believe only the compilers are at issue here.  The big concern with the
7.2 compilers is that they are licensed, while the 7.1 compilers are not.
In loading the 6.2 distribution CD's, we decided to go with the 7.2
compilers in the expectation (hope?) that licensing would be resolved
in the next couple of months, in time for our 8.2 release.  If so,
we will presumably want to update the 6.3 compilers for 8.2.
