As it's now Monday night, I'm going to assume that we don't have a
better solution to the zephyr/screensaver problem, and that we should
probably force metacity on cluster users for the time being, as per
consensus on -c debathena at 19:19 on 2/28.
What needs to happen to move forward on this by Wednesday?
I think we just need to somehow force /desktop/gnome/session/
required_components/windowmanager to be metacity. Although the
gnome-wm script thinks it should be /desktop/gnome/applications/
window_manager/default
By default the window manager is "gnome-wm", which is a script that
honors, among other things, $WINDOW_MANAGER...
