The project-db/BRL experience doesn't solve the Kerberos authentication
problem, so blanche could not be used as the back end.
The only way to apply BRL to this problem would be to use it on the
Oracle database directly, in parallel to the Moira server. If Moira
does data integrity, etc. at the database level, this is fine. If not,
it would be dangerous to manipulate the Oracle database directly.
I've heard that the Moira daemon does its own integrity checks, etc. and
basically uses Oracle as raw data storage. If that's true, then
throwing BRL at this problem would be inadvisable.
Dan may want to comment further on this, as he has the most direct
experience with how Moira works.
