Attending: Dave, Lynne, Rocklyn, MEB
1. X-windows has performance issues so DCE is back on the horizon.
Anne Salemme is a key resource here. Rocklyn is waiting for her to
confirm that she can help with this.
2. Dave has a meeting with D. Rosenberg to clarify expectation,
schedule, project scope.
3. Oliver Thomas's feedback from Dave's presentation to Support Team
leaders raises the issue of how the Web interface will deal with PDF
files. Lynne w/look into it.
4. Dan Cogswell (IBM, Colorado) has begun work on the web interface.
No predictions as to finish date.
5. Accounting.
- Lynne, ping ASST and others to ensure that LKPR is on their
application servers if authenticated print file submission is
required.
- Lynne needs a LaserWriter 5si for testing. Ask Theresa
- IPM doesn't seem to know how to distinguish between simplex and
duplex, or how to record # of copies of a file. There potential for
overcharging if a job jams and then is resent.
- Lynne - make a list of what accounting features we've got, and
what we need that isn't in place.
6. Clarify queue issues with Theresa and R3-Admin. Dave and Rocklyn.
7. Documentation.
- New business model. MEB write overview info; Ceci provide figures.
- DOST documentation: MEB write a descriptive overview; Lynne
write the how to documentation.
- User documentation: MEB draft user documentation to be linked
from Printing@MIT page.
8. An IBM APAR (fix) will let IPM share a network attached printer
with VM. Rocklyn - let the VM group know that data will be sent over
the net to IPM.
9. Infrastructure is our current priority. Lynne, gently clarify
expectations with Alumni.
10. Post-delivery application support. Dave is pursuing this with Bob Ferrara.
